The D-TECH4ENT - Deep Technology Incubator for Entrepreneurs (Ege D-Tech)
Project is carried out under the Competitive Sectors Programme, financed within the framework of the financial cooperation of the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye and implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The project, implemented with partners such as Ege University, Ege Teknopark, and the Aegean Young Business Association (EGIAD) is planned to be completed in 3 years with a budget of 3 million Euros.
The Ege D-Tech project’s purpose is to enhance the domain of deep technology in the region and contribute socio-economic development of the Izmir region by improving technology development and innovation capacity, helping startups with commercialisation and internationalisation of innovative products, by fostering networks and strategic partnership among relevant stakeholders.
Focusing on the deep technology sector with health tech, life sciences, and artificial intelligence technologies, which are among the pioneers of economic development, the project improves the capacity of deep tech startups as well as deep tech-related investors and staff in İzmir, with training, incubation, consultancy, and networking activities. Furthermore, the incubation centre, Ege Deep-Tech Factory, will contain materials and machinery to create and test deep tech-related innovations.
