The D-TECH4ENT - Deep Technology Incubator for Entrepreneurs (Ege D-Tech)
The Ege D-Tech Project has been funded through the financial cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye and implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the Competitive Sectors Programme. With a budget of 6 million Euros and a three-year timeline, the project has been jointly carried out by Ege Teknopark, Ege University, and the Aegean Young Business Association (EGIAD) to strengthen Türkiye’s deep-tech innovation capacity and support the commercialization of science-based start-ups.
The Ege D-Tech Project has aimed to strengthen the deep-tech ecosystem in the İzmir region by enhancing innovation and technology development capacity, supporting the commercialization and internationalization of science-based products, and fostering strategic networks among key stakeholders.
With a focus on transformative sectors such as health tech, life sciences, and artificial intelligence, the project has contributed to the growth of deep-tech start-ups, investors, and ecosystem actors through a wide range of capacity-building activities — including training programs, tailored consultancy, incubation support, and international networking. As a core output, the Ege Deep-Tech Factory was established to provide the physical infrastructure and equipment necessary for prototyping and testing advanced technologies in deep-tech fields.
