Pre-Incubation

1) Pre-incubation relates to the overall activities needed to support the potential entrepreneur in developing his business idea, business model and business plan, to boost the chances to arrive to an effective start-up creation.
2) Pre-incubators are defined as a ‘risk-reduced environment where entrepreneurial ideas can be tested for market viability before progressing into the business incubator’. Pre-incubators serve as solution providers for potential entrepreneurs, tackling issues such as financial risk, gaps in business and personal skills, unknown market potential of the new product or service, lack of capital and ignorance of the worth of their intellectual property. Pre-incubation is the starting point of a longer process of development for the new business.
