D-Tech Project Operation Coordination Unit Director
Anıl Baybura has been working at Ege Teknopark since 2017. Before that he had been working for EBİLTEM-TTO. Within TTO work, he has gained experiences on designing and running accelerator programs, mentoring activities, seminars etc. for entrepreneurs.
He also worked as an Assistant in Ege University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department between 2016-2020. The Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is one of its first kinds in Turkey and established as a department under Ege University Rectorate. The department is provide course on innovation management, entrepreneurship, IPR, licencing and startup generation to the students in the limited Faculties such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture etc.
He has a total of 8 years of work experience in different areas of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
He is currently working at EGE Teknopark as a Business Development and Projects Coordinator. Also he is working at nuvEGE Incubation Center as a Director. He has earned his Master’s Degree in Structure of biotechnology sector in Turkey and determination of innovation capacity from Ege University. He is also responsible as OCUD of D-TECH4ENT-Deep Technology Incubator for Entrepreneurs (D-Tech) in Ege Teknopark.
He has experience in writing, coordinating and developing projects, coordinating project activities and relations among project partners; communicating with stakeholders, organizing meetings, training, study visits and workshops, managing financial resources of projects, procurement processes and budgeting through both EU funded projects and equity backed projects.
He has also experienced in field work with early tech-startups. He also has strong writing, editing and proofreading skills gained from past work experiences.
He is generally managing operations of the Entrepreneurship and Business Development Unit in Ege Teknopark. He is responsible for; supporting researchers willing to start a startup,leading business development work of TDZ, developing university-industry relations, supporting the establishment of new companies, and developing and managing projects.
Anıl Şensöz

Anıl Şensöz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
After working for 3 years in the private sector as a sales engineer, he started to work in EBILTEM-TTO as a project expert in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) project. As a part of his responsibilities, he organized several brokerage events, visited clients in the region, and provided advisory services to clients to make them more competitive in international markets. He is a member of the sector group “digital” in EEN.
In 2020, he started his freelance career in the entrepreneurship area, and he delivered documents like business plans and pitch decks for foreign clients all around the World. At the same time, he started to work in the entrepreneurship module in EBILTEM-TTO.
As of 2022, he is the Enterprise Europe Network Project manager at Ege University.
In DTECH4ENT Project, he is a member of OCU and is responsible for the internationalization process of the startups.
Hüsnü Demir
TTO Expert
Hüsnü Demir has a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Ege University and he has also an associate degree in Foreign Trade from Anadolu University. He has started to work at EBİLTEM as a Project Expert in an EU project that is named Enterprise Europe Network and funded by EISMEA. From 2012, he had a chance to touch with more than 1000 SMEs, big companies, researchers, investors, etc to help them the scope of the EEN services – supporting export/import, innovation capacity measurement and creation of action plans, access to national/international finance, bilateral meeting organizations, basic level IPR information, consultancy for HORIZON projects, process management, entering to the international market.
He has worked as an organizer and a co-organizer of more than 50 international b2bs events. He has assisted more than 500 participants within these b2bs. He had a chance to support the Turkish companies that have signed more than 70 agreements with international partners.
In addition, he is a member of the OSHA EEN Ambassador, one of two in Turkey. A few of the training he has received are as follows; Train The Trainers: Technology Transfer Offices, Train The Trainers: Basic Technology Transfer Professionals Training, Business Use of IP, Environmental Management System ISO 14001, LES 100, Digital Transformation, Within the Scope of Sustainable Business Models Under EU Policies Sustainable Development Education Program, etc.
İrem Ceren Geren
Project Expert
Ceren graduated from Yaşar University, Department of International Relations in 2021. She continues her master’s degree in R&D and Innovation Management, which is under the Information Management Department at Dokuz Eylül University. She has improved herself in this field thanks to the European Union courses she took during her undergraduate education. She has certificates on EU integration, EU-Turkey Relations and security in the EU. In addition to these, thanks to the project cycle management training she received, she has information about the project operation. She has been working as a Project Expert at Ege Teknopark Technology Development Zone Inc. since February 2021 . She has knowledge and experience in reporting and preparing business plans.
Gülşah Şenoğlu
OCU Member
Gülşah Şenoğlu received her bachelor’s degree in International Entrepreneurship from Tobb University of Economics and Technology. She studied at Kazan Federal University, Taras Shevchenko University and Moscow State University for one semester each, as part of the Russian Speaking Countries Learning Mobility Programme. She is currently working as an Entrepreneurship Expert at EBILTEM TTO since 2023 February. She supports international projects within the scope of EBIC-Ege.
Sena Yanaşık
OCU Member
Sena Yanaşık has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Bioengineering from Ege University. During her undergraduate education, she did an internship at TÜBİTAK MAM Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Institute Nanotechnology Laboratory. She completed her master’s degree at Ege University, Biomimetic Microsystems Laboratory, on the study of the effects of sedatives on the human brain. In this context, she has experience in many different fields such as 2D/3D cell culture for different organs, microscopic imaging, fabrication of organ-on-a-chip, simulation-modelling, and in vitro drug applications. Thanks to the projects she took part in and carried out as a researcher during her undergraduate and graduate education, she improved herself in project management and reporting. It has GLP, GMP, ISO 13485 etc. certification certifying that she has the skills to manage production, quality and laboratory processes.
She works as a Project Engineer at the Ege Derin Teknoloji factory in the Ege DTECH4ENT Project.
Kerem Bayrak

Kerem Bayrak holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Manisa Celal Bayar University, Department of Bioengineering. Thanks to the projects he has conducted in the past, he has experience in the fields of food technology and analysis, drug development, and cell culture. Also, he has improved himself in project writing and management. The start-ups where he worked as a Quality Control Engineer and Laboratory Supervisor increased his interest in entrepreneurship. Besides these, he has an Industrial Biotechnology certificate from the University of Manchester, Bacteria and Chronic Infections certificate from the University of Copenhagen, and a Precision Medicine certificate from the University of Geneva. These experiences have cultivated his passion for pushing the boundaries of bioengineering and contributing to impactful research in diverse domains.
Kerem is currently working as a Project Engineer at Ege Teknopark Technology Development Zone.
Fırat Mavi
Project Engineer
Fırat Mavi graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ege University. Following his graduation, he worked as an R&D Engineer in the industrial machinery manufacturing sector for 2 years. During this period, he gained experience in industrial machine design, manufacturing, product development, and process characterization. After his experience in the private sector, he began working as a Research Assistant in the Construction and Manufacturing sub-department of the department where he graduated. For the past 4 years, he has been conducting academic research in the fields of Additive Manufacturing and Laser-Based Manufacturing, focusing on machine construction and process characterization. Currently, alongside his doctoral education, he continues his academic work in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and serves as a Prototyping & Manufacturing expert at the Deep Technology Factory.
Deniz Gündüz
Project Engineer
Deniz Gündüz, graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ege University. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted method and quality control activities in the plastic shaping sector, particularly in laser cutting and press brake bending applications. Throughout his thesis work on the topological optimization of a beam element for a ceramic mold machine, he gained experience in 3D design and finite element analysis applications. Currently, he serves as the Prototyping & Manufacturing expert in the Manufacturing & Prototyping department of the Ege Deep Technology Factory.
Philip Sowden
Team Leader
Philip is Team Leader of the Project Team contractor delivering training support for the Ege Incubator management team.
He has over almost 50 years of experience in the design, management and evaluation of small technology business support and growth programmes, gained over a working career spanning 35 countries and involving organisations such as the World Bank, UNIDO, the European Commission and many Government and private sector organisations. Projects he led included an Industrial Modernisation Programme for Egypt, a national SME Benchmarking Programme for Portugal, and the National Enterprise Development Programme for the UK.
Philip qualified in Mechanical and Production Engineering at Leeds University in the UK and worked as a senior technology consultant in several industrial sectors before moving into technical research and development working with Start-up and Deep-tech SMEs. This culminated in the position of CEO with Pera Asia, an R&D based company with offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Manilla, and Beijing. He was then appointed to a Board position with one of Europe’s largest Science and Technology Policy Development companies, the Technopolis Group, with over 100 consultants working from offices in several European Member States.
Philip has over 10 years’ experience of working extensively in many regions of Turkey. He has acted as Key Expert in three major programmes jointly funded by the European Commission and the Turkish Government; ‘Turkey in FP7’ and ‘Turkey in Horizon 2020’ (Phases I and II). His roles involved consulting with and developing innovation road maps with over 200 Turkish start-ups and SMEs, as well as managing some 60 training events which reached over 4,000 SMEs across Turkey.
Gökçe Yalçın
Commercialization Expert
Gökçe Yalçın has 30 years of SME management experience with more than 25 years at top executive and C levels, with full responsibility in both national and multinational SMEs and corporations of multiple industries. He has worked mainly on growth, innovation, governance, internationalization, marketing, and competition aspects of businesses, while sustainably achieving success in revenue, profit, and business growth objectives under dynamic and highly competitive business environments. Developed extensive knowledge & experience in business strategy with deep understanding of critical business drivers. Led and motivated multiple teams as CEO of a Holding Company employing more than 500 employees and acted as a member of the board in charge of business development. As an entrepreneur, seamlessly extended core professional skills to co-create a boutique management consulting company, focusing on corporate strategy, innovation management, change leadership, performance-driven execution, and M&As.
He has provided Management Consulting, Mentoring and Training services to Institutions, Corporations, SMEs, Start-ups, and entrepreneurs within a wide array of project types ranging from Individual company level to Regional/Sectorial and Cluster Development Programs, in the international environment in 3 continents. He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University and a certified degree in International Management, Business Administration from İstanbul University.
Konrad Nierubiec
Project Director
Mr Nierubiec holds an M.A. in Political Science (specialisation in European Integration) from Opole University, a diploma in Project Management from Warsaw School of Economics and a diploma in International Business Studies from Dublin Business School. He is a result-oriented Project Director with extensive experience in managing multi-million EU-funded projects in Potential and Candidate EU Countries. He is an outstanding manager, an excellent communicator and an effective problem solver, who effectively analyses problems and looks for long-term solutions instead of band-aid fixes.
Mr Nierubiec has in-depth knowledge and experience of EU programmes, Project Cycle Management, PRAG and General Conditions’ rules and procedures.
Gizem Ay
Project Coordinator
Gizem holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at Ege University and continues her M.A. in International Relations at Dokuz Eylul University. Her background was shaped around voluntary works during her study period on EU Youth Projects, and civil society in general. By doing Project related work, she has gained many organizational and reporting skills. She started her professional career in one of the humanitarian aid projects funded by the EU as an Admin Officer in İzmir. She has experience in financial, logistical, narrative reporting and admin work in general. After that, she continued her career at the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Izmir. She has worked in Dokuz Eylul Technology Transfer Office, Dokuz Eylul Technology Development Zone as an Entrepreneurship Expert for 2 years. Within TTO work, she has gained experience on designing and running accelerator programs, incubator programs, mentoring activities, training courses etc. for entrepreneurs. She has deep knowledge about the entrepreneurial ecosystem and actors in the region. Later than that, she joined IDI under Technical Assistance Projects. She worked as Project Assistant for İzmir NIC Project supporting Technical Assistance Team in administrative works and all other activities about the development of the İzmir entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. Recently she works as Project Coordinator in IDI and she is responsible for the smooth implementation of the Project.
