Ege D-Tech International Collaboration Visits I: Turkish Deep-Tech Startups Meet the UK Ecosystem

As part of the Ege D-Tech Commercialization Program, three deep-tech startups — Kybele’s Garden, Rhodark, and Earfit — carried out a series of international collaboration visits to the United Kingdom between February 3–7, 2025. The delegations engaged in one-on-one meetings with prominent stakeholders across the UK’s innovation, investment, and governmental landscape.

Taking place across Cambridge, London, Reading, Birmingham, and Southampton, the five-day program provided Turkish startups with an exceptional opportunity to build strategic partnerships, explore funding opportunities, and introduce their innovative solutions to international audiences.

🌿 Kybele’s Garden: Forging Global Ties in Agri-Tech

Kybele’s Garden held meetings with pioneering institutions such as Carbon13, Vertical Future, and Saturn Bioponics, focusing on sustainable and vertical farming technologies. The team also met with key public and private stakeholders including the Department for Business and Trade, London & Partners, and participated in high-level biotech networking events in London.

🔬 Rhodark: Bridging Materials Science and AI Across Sectors

Rhodark met with the University of Reading, Department for Business and Trade, and various creative and tech leaders at Conran & Partners and Unit9. The company also took part in the Science Cite Event, and engaged with investors and green-tech professionals during the Greentech Networking Night, further strengthening their cross-sectoral presence in the UK.

🎧 Earfit: Unlocking Audio Innovation Through International Synergies

Specializing in advanced hearing and wearable tech, Earfit engaged with academic partners such as Salford University, Imperial College London, Queen Mary University, and the University of Southampton. The company also explored collaborative opportunities with Sonical, Virtual Acoustics, and participated in the Amplify and Electronic Microphone Networking events, fostering direct interaction with potential investors.

Visit to the Turkish Embassy in London

All three startups visited the Turkish Embassy in London, where they were received by H.E. Ambassador Koray Ertaş. The delegation presented their ventures and discussed Türkiye’s growing role in exporting high-impact technologies to the global market.

Co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, the Ege D-Tech Project continues to provide vital opportunities for Turkish startups to expand internationally, establish cross-border partnerships, and access investment opportunities.
