Within the scope of the Ege D-Tech Project under the management of Ege Technopark, Capacity Building Training focusing on growth and internationalization was designed for startups with growth potential.
In addition to the training, workshops and thematic activities going to be offered within the scope of the project, support will be provided in many areas such as product development, intellectual and industrial property rights, marketing, commercialization roadmap and internationalization to selected 50 startups operating in the field of Deep Technology with the D-Tech Incubation Center. Within the scope of Capacity Building Training, it is planned to organize 3 thematic pieces of training for startups before the incubation program. This training cover Marketing of Innovative Products, Deep Technology Finance and Investment, Startup Management and Applications.
The first “Marketing of Innovative Products” training was held on 17-18 November 2022 with the trainers Giovanni Zazzerini and Nurdan Gündoğdu, hosted by Ege Technopark and Ege University. The training program was started with the opening speeches by Ege Teknopark General Manager Prof. Dr. Emre Ilker. He gave information about the project and thanked the Ege University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak for his support and interest in the project. The program continued with Ege D-Tech Project Coordinator and Ege Teknopark Deputy General Manager Anıl Baybura and Project Incubation Expert Dr. Peter Mogyorosi. After the opening speeches, Mr Zazzerini continued the training with the context of Developing a Marketing Strategy, Reaching Customers, Developing Value Propositions and Maintaining Competitive Advantage with theoretical explanations and group activities. On the event’s second day, Ms Gündoğdu provided information on Strengthening Communication Skills in Sales, Challenges Encountered and Managing an Effective Sales Meeting. The training program ended with a question-answer session in which the participants actively participated. The training was carried out in English and contributed to the startups operating in the field of deep technology in creating their future projections in marketing. Approximately 25 different startups participated in the training, and at the end of the training, they expressed their satisfaction and expressed their excitement for future training and programs.
Capacity building training will continue with Deep Technology Finance and Investment training on 8-9 December 2022. The training will be held in English, and international and national trainers who are experts in their field will take part in each training. Within the scope of the project, in addition to thematic training, events such as startup meeting days, networking events where corporate companies and startups will increase their interaction, and startup summits are planned in the upcoming period.
The Deep Technology Incubation Center (Ege D-Tech) Project, run by Ege Technopark, is carried out within the framework of the Competitive Sectors Program (RSP), co-financed by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union. The project, implemented with the participation of Ege University and the Aegean Young Businessmen Association (EGIAD), is planned to be completed in 3 years with a budget of 3 Million Euros. Dozens of projects implemented within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Program carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey contribute to the creation of a more competitive and innovative ecosystem for entrepreneurs and SMEs in Turkey.
