🚀 The first Ege D-Tech Demo Day took place on December 26, 2024, in İzmir, Türkiye, with over 150 participants!
As part of the Deep Technology Incubation Center (Ege D-Tech Factory) Project, implemented by Ege Teknopark under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, and co-financed by the Republic of Türkiye and the European Union within the framework of the Competitive Sectors Programme, this event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the deep-tech ecosystem in the region.
The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and public stakeholders, providing a dynamic platform for 19 innovative deep-tech startups to showcase their cutting-edge technologies in health tech, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, sustainable energy, and advanced engineering solutions.
Ege Teknopark and Ege D-Tech Project Expanding the Deep-Tech Ecosystem
Ege Teknopark General Manager, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İskender İnce, opened the event by emphasizing the project’s role in supporting deep-tech entrepreneurs and advancing Türkiye’s R&D and innovation landscape.
“As one of Türkiye’s leading technoparks, Ege Teknopark is committed to fostering innovation and internationalization. The Ege D-Tech Project plays a key role in supporting deep-tech entrepreneurs, strengthening the innovation ecosystem, and creating bridges between science and technology. Today, our selected startups are presenting their cutting-edge technologies and pioneering solutions. We firmly believe that through this initiative, we will contribute to Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative, paving the way for groundbreaking deep-tech innovations.”
EGİAD Vice Chairman of the Board, Arda Yılmaz, highlighted the strategic significance of the project in positioning İzmir as a key player in deep technology:

Innovative Deep-Tech Startups Took the Stage
During the Ege D-Tech Demo Day, 19 deep-tech startups participating in the Ege D-Tech Commercialization Program presented their innovative products and breakthrough solutions. Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to connect with potential investors, industry leaders, and business partners, paving the way for new collaborations and investment opportunities.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were awarded to participants, and it was announced that ongoing mentorship, investor networking, and international business development support would continue for startups as part of the project.

Ege D-Tech is an entrepreneurship support project implemented in collaboration with Ege University and EGİAD, co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye.
